Volunteer Consultants (VCs) are the backbone of the South-east Asian Tourism Organisation (SEATO). Our expert VCs bring a range of experience, training and knowledge to local development programs.

Poverty Elimination through Tourism
Growth through Education
Pro-poor Tourism
Indigenous Tourism
Niche Tourism growth and development
Home-based Tourism
Local Tourism growth and development

VCs are engaged on a by-project basis and are funded through the Non-Government Organisation (NGO). Reasonable local living costs are paid as is a per diem. Per diem rates will vary from project to project as identified by the host organization.

Please note that all applicants for VC positions will be required, at a later stage of the application process, to provide certified copies of all academic qualifications.

Once you have submitted your CV our Project Management Committee (PMC) will review your application and will get back to you if they have any points that need clarification. The outcome of your application will be advised to you directly by the PMC.
