The South-East Asian Tourism Organisation (SEATO) Management Board consists of a highly experienced group of tourism and hospitality practitioners, administrators and academics specifically selected from government and non-government tourism organisations in the South-East Asian region.
The Management Board is able to direct the operation of SEATO to ensure it achieves its organisational objectives.
Organisational Objectives
The South-East Asian Tourism Organisation will bring together Government, industry practitioners and academics to maximise the impact of tourism to all levels of society throughout the region.
The organisation will seek innovative and practical ways to develop new tourism opportunities, expand existing product, use new technologies and involve as yet untried communities in the industry.
Special Board Advisors.
The Board is also able to call on the services of a select group of Advisors who bring their own special knowledge and expertise to the operation of the organization.
Secretariat
The SEATO Secretariat is headed by Mr Robert Johnston who has considerable experience linking the work of governments and entrepreneurs in the tourism industry. Mr Johnston heads a team of support personnel of the highest calibre. |
